350Z project car
Vortech, GAS, and FreshAlloy work together
to make another fast Nissan 350Z!

Well, at the end of our interview with Beau Boeckmann of Galpin Auto Sports on our siste site at AutomoiveEnthusiasts, we said lookout it's coming and now it's here and faster than ever. The FreshAlloy 350Z is now outfitted with possibly the best supercharger in the industry, Vortech. Nissan states that the stock 350Z put out 287 HP, but with the changes we've made to the car to date, it gets about 315 HP and now with Vortech's help, it's boosted to somewhere between 412 and 430. We'll let TechnoSquare, play with the ECU and we'll know for sure. This installation is actually a site to behold. Jammin' all that stuff under the hood in an already cramped space was a 6 hour job and a kick to watch the expert do it.

Axel Chinchilla, and Omar Ruvalcaba, ace mechanics at Galpin Auto Sports, specializes in Turbo and Supercharger installations and to him, this was pretty easy. A couple of glitches in the instructions, (beware of the oversized NISMO sway bar - you need to loosen it and move it out of the way) but for the most part a good weekend, wrench-turning enthusiast can do it. Axel says "if you can get the car 2 feet off the ground, drill one hole in the crankcase, and be patient, it can be done."

Now that the FreshAlloy Nissan 350Z is fitted with Vortech's V2 SQ SC Trim High Output (too many words for me), it will be re-tuned, dialed in, and ready for its trek back East. It will be making its appearance at a host of events and you'll see it at the tracks on the Right Coast, but don't even think about catching it. With NISMO, AEM/DC, Racing Brakes, Hawk pads, BBS wheels, Bridgestone tires, of course, and now a supercharger from Vortech, just get out your stop watch!

Thanks to Gil Cormaci, VP Sales and Marketing, Vortech, and Beau Boeckmann, Chris Whitney, Axel Chinchilla, and Omar Ruvalcaba of Galpin Auto Sports for their contributions to the FreshAlloy Nissan 350Z Project Car.

Fred Palmer, front left, is shown after having the GAS Crew check out the 'Z' for its cross-country trek to a new home in Maryland. Fred will be posting photos and giving you a mile by mile and 'smile by smile' chronical of the trip while he enjoys the world of Vortech supercharging! Watch for Cops!

Oh, stay tuned for a detailed technical evaluation of the Vortech's V2 Supercharger installation and performance with photos and video.
